Karen McLean, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. McLean has an active clinical practice as a Gynecologic Oncologist, and is committed to all aspects of patient care, from surgery to chemotherapy to end-of-life discussions. She is a principal investigator in the Translational Oncology Program at the University of Michigan, a multidisciplinary program that emphasizes collaborative science with the goal of bringing together highly accomplished investigators to make transformational advances in oncology. Her research focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of ovarian cancer, with particular interests in tumor microenvironment signaling and hormone therapy.
