Professor, Anatomic Pathology

University of Michigan Health System

Education

B.A.: Chemistry, Yale University (1980)
M.D.: Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (1984)

Research Interests

Dr. Cho is the Peter A. Ward Professor of Pathology and the Vice Chair of Academic Affairs at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Kathleen Cho is a leading ovarian cancer pathologist and mouse researcher, and has made pioneering contributions in the molecular pathogenesis of ovarian cancer. While much of Dr. Cho's early ovarian cancer efforts focused on developing unique molecular profiles of ovarian cancer subtypes, her more recent work involves creating mouse models of the most common type of ovarian cancer. These innovative mouse models are a valuable resource to studying tumor biology, as well as novel prevention and early detection methods.
